Agatha Marie Cobb

Agatha Marie Cobb (nee Nickelson) was born on June 28, 1926, in Coldwater, KS to Chris and Hazel Nickelson. She died on September 5, 2022, in Cincinnati, Ohio at the age of 96.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Dudley Cobb, her parents, her 5 brothers Fred (Mary) Nickelson, Orville (JoAnne) Nickelson, Chris (Laura) Nickelson, Ralph (Dolores) Nickelson and Glen Nickelson, and her sister Anna Mae (Dale) Housley.

She is survived by her 2 children, Gary (Beverly) Cobb and Karen (Tom) Rocklin, her 2 grandchildren, Joe (Jennie) Rocklin and Jennifer (Joshua) Flynn, and her 6 great-grandchildren, Lizzie and Katie Rocklin, and Annabelle, Lucas, Lydia, and Charlie Flynn.

As a child in Kansas, Agatha attended the one room Pike school house. The family went to Sunday School in that same room. Victims of the dust storms, they moved to Oregon in 1937 when she was 11, leaving behind treasured memories, like her little red wagon.

She met Dudley at church. After his Army service in WW II, they married on January 21, 1946, in Vancouver, WA, made their home in Evansville, IN, and eventually moved to Cincinnati, OH, joining the First Apostolic Church.

With Dudley’s passing in December of 1985, she turned her attention to the joy of her grandchildren, who call her Grandma, and her great grandchildren who call her Grams.
